Woolmer Green Village Day - Sunday 7th June

It's that time of year again! This Sunday, 7th June from 12pm - 4pm is Woolmer Green Village Day. It will take place at the village hall. The star attractions this year are electric go karts, a live band, pony rides, bouncy castles, inflatable jousting, a roundabout, fair ground rides and an inflatable football game. There will also be; badminton - tug of war - BBQ - beer tent – cream teas & delicious cakes – ice creams – classic cars on display – zumba - face painting & fun tattoos, plus many more stalls including, arts & crafts, toys & games, food & drink. Come along and have a great day out in the village!

Year 6 are off on their long-awaited residential PGL trip to Caythorpe Court in Lincolnshire today. We wish them all a safe journey and lots of fun. Consideration please for SATs week

Our year 6 children have been working hard all year for their SATs tests this week. Can parents of other year groups please be considerate and arrive on time to school to prevent disruption to the tests. Classes are open from 8.50am and register closes at 9am. Thank you.

Happy Birthday Walking Bus! Buster visits...

Buster comes to school

As our Walking Bus is now one year old, Buster the dinosaur came to visit our school last week to present Elm Class with their trophy. 26 children also received Goodie Bags for regularly supporting the Walking Bus. If you and your children would like to join our Walking Bus please meet us at the Village Hall Meadow at 8.50 each morning. The Book Fair has arrived!

Our book fair has arrived! It will run from tomorrow, Thurs 6th May, from 3.15pm, until next Thursday.  PLEASE COME AND SEE THE FANTASTIC RANGE OF BOOKS ON OFFER. You will also be supporting our Fundraising efforts to buy more books for our classes from commission gained. If any parent can help after school we would be delighted to hear from you. Please ask at the School Office. Thank you so much for your support.  If you can't make it simply send us a request of what books you want with payment.

KS1 sun hats and PE kits

Please could we remind parents/carers of KS1 that children must have a sunhat in school this term (available from the school office - we have plenty of legionnaires hats in stock and are awaiting a delivery of the basic caps), and also a full and named PE kit at ALL times. PE sessions can vary from week to week to fit in with other topics and activities that are going on this term. Thank you.

CONGRATULATIONS Mrs Renouf!

Congratulations to Mrs Renouf for completing the London Marathon yesterday in a time of 6 hours and 2 minutes! What an amazing achievement - we are all very proud of her. She and her running partner Charlie together raised over £4652.40 in aid of Action Against Hunger.

Mrs Renouf's Marathon is approaching...

As you will all, I'm sure, be aware, Mrs Renouf and her friend (also Charlotte!) will be running the London Marathon on 26th April this year. Both Charlottes have been training really hard and raising lots of money for their chosen charity Action Against Hunger who "save the lives of malnourished children and provide families with access to safe water and good nutrition".
