Redwood Harry Potter Trip

Year 3 HP

Year 3 had an amazing trip to the Harry Potter Warner Bother’s Studio erday. They flew on broomsticks and had a workshop looking at the materials used to make many of the costumes. Thank you to all the staff who accompanied this trip.

Bread Making in Redwood

Last week Mrs Hewitt kindly came into Redwood Class to teach them how to make bread. They made Focacia, white, mixed, and rye loaves with them. It was an informative session, and great fun! The loaves were divided up and the children were able to take some home to their families to enjoy together. Huge thanks to the wonderful Mrs Hewitt.

Boccia Success!

Mosaic 3

On the 10th March Redwood sent a 6-strong team, comprising 3 girls and 3 boys, to take part in a Boccia festival. Boccia is a precision ball game, related to Bowls and Petanque. The St Michael's team (Olivia, Poppy, Unathi, Jake, Evie and Samuel) thoroughly enjoyed their afternoon and came away the overall winners of the festival! Well done to our Boccia team!

Year 3 Multisports Event

Redwood had a great afternoon of sport at Welwyn St Marys last week.  Run by year 7 students at Monks Walk, the children were able to take part in a wide range of activities and sports including tag rugby, basketball, football, and even an obstacle course which included running to put on various fancy dress head wear!
