Phil The Bag

ptb logo award1

The Friends have organised another Phil The Bag fundraising collection for Wednesday 24th February. This is after half term, so please get sorting and collecting your old/unwanted textiles over the break and bag them up. Please only bring your bags on the day, and drop them off at the top end of the carpark by the pedestrian entrance to the school.  Everyone is welcome to take part.  Please use any type of bag - but black sacks are best! Or why not fill up an old pillow case..?  The more we weigh, the more we get paid. Any/all textiles are welcome, e.g. unwanted clothes, shoes, household linen, belts, hats and handbags. Thank you. The Friends.

KS2 Carol Concert

KS2 treated us to a wonderful carol concert on Wednesday over in the church. The service was conducted by David Munchin and led by all the Year 6 pupils. The Year 6 children said their lines confidently, read prayers and sang a super new version of "While shepherds Watched Their Flocks by Night" accompanied by hand bells. However, many will agree that the highlight was the whole of KS2 singing the song Kuyimba, with musical accompaniment (directed and led by Mrs and Mr Wadey!), which was hauntingly beautiful. Many thanks go to all of the KS2 staff, especially Mrs Wadey, for all of their hard work in putting this service together.

LEGO Workshop

Lego village

Yesterday the whole school enjoyed a fun session on a grand scale as two brothers organised a fabulous LEGO workshop for the children's Christmas treat. The children built houses, fun parks, wind turbines, beach scenes and many other things that were eventually combined together to make a huge village. The only limit was their imagination. Great fun was had by all.

KS1 Nativity

IMG 1129On Tuesday KS1 performed their delightful nativity "Away In a Manger". The children were confident and had learned all of their words perfectly. They looked as if they were having as much fun performing as the audience were watching them! Well done to Sycamore, Willow and Cherry Classes, as well as all the staff who have worked so hard to organise the performance.
